Yes! Yes! Depictions of Indian weddings in Bollywood movies are beautiful! The colors in the weddings are so vibrant. They make you want to get married a thousand times over. Just the colors! We get to experience them with the actors.
Now, Nigerian weddings... if you haven't been to be a traditional wedding of a middle-class or high-class Nigerian, you're missing something. I'll repeat that. If you have not been to a Nigerian traditional wedding, book a trip. That alone should be a tourist attraction. The glitz and glam in the weddings are spectacular. It's like going to the Oscars, except more glamorous. The women and men come to impress, to look their best in pictures that will eventually circulate around the world. I'm glad sites like Bella Naija bring us the photos.
A Nigerian celebrity, Paul of P-Square, got married last week. As expected, he did it up. The guests? I'll let you decide on whether they brought the show or not!
