There are dresses for weddings and dresses for shopping. At a wedding this past weekend, a girl wore a gorgeous shirt dress. While something like it is nice enough to wear out with my girlfriends to brunch or shop maybe, I can't dress it up for a wedding. You can't dress it up for a wedding! No ladies. Not with any belt, jewelry or shoes. A shirt dress is a shirt dress-- nothing fancy about one. Unless if Tom Ford or Marc Jacobs does something to change that. We've lost the brilliant Alexander McQueen. I'd have loved to see what he woulda done with a shirt dress concept.
