Rock your Chest!!

I realize I am playing safe by using the term "chest." You have to be careful these days especially after such articles and photos as the recent Time cover photo of the lady breast-feeding. The concept of how to rock your chest is huge in fashion. Stylists tell you what shape and size of clothes (tops and dresses) to wear depending on the size of your breasts...dresses that downplay or up-play your breasts etc.

Everyday, we hear stories of women doing loads of plastic surgery to change something about the way they look. I read about a beautiful Nigerian lady who totally bleached her skin and mentioned her husband loved her with her whiter skin. Breast implants are nothing new. Yet, do you realize that a good number of hot celebrities actually have small boobs and rock them well?

The recent Instyle cover photo is one of Charlize Theron. Notice she doesn't have a protruding chest. :-)

Those of us with smaller boobs want bigger boobs and those with bigger boobs want smaller ones. What I am trying to say is take care of what you have. Rock your chest, as is dearie! (In the voice of Rumpelstiltskin of "Once Upon A Time.")

A Look at Flattering Short Hair Cuts

Okay. I'll be bold and say I (plus the many female students in my high school) wore mandatory buzz cuts while growing up. Oh, torture! So malicious of the female teachers, we thought. You may say, "what's the big deal?" Imagine this: the buzz cut coupled with shirts and skirts that didn't fit, white socks and brown flat tie-sandals for most, plus absolutely no makeup. Say dreadful! I don't wear that cut anymore.


More generally, with freedom to choose hair styles, some ladies still opt for the very short dos. While the style looks good on some, it doesn't complement others. Depends on the shape of your face, the size and shape of your head :-), what you can/cannot do with makeup, color of your eyes, and I could go on. But it would be naive to think that just 'cos you can wear makeup, you can rock short hair. A mirror and some truthful friends should help you decide what if it looks good on you... After all, what's a new voluntary hair style for if it doesn't complement your face. Capisce (cah-peesh)?

It appears longer-faced women rock the look most frequently. The models on this page are also not shy with makeup, especially eye-liners. While Eva and Solange popped the look with hoop/dangling earrings, Amber Rose wore studs, and "Model," none. Ignore the picture-trick of great lighting and angles in the photos for a sec. Then I'll say in all honesty that short hair is usually harder to pull off (face-flattering-wise) than long hair (which most girls wear). I suggest a powder that matches your complexion well, an eyeliner (for the top lid during the day and both at night), and a lipstick (prolly not too loud) to finish your look. It's the same tip for working long hair but a short-haired girl may need the reminder more...
